ZRX token has been listed by U.S. popular exchange Coinbase and is available on its professional trading platform, Coinbase Pro. The token launch announced in a tweet by the Coinbase pro team read:
ZRX is launching on Coinbase Pro! The ZRX/USD, ZRX/BTC, and ZRX/EUR order books have entered transfer-only mode. Traders can deposit ZRX, but cannot yet place or fill orders. Order books will remain in transfer-only mode for at least 12 hours.
The exchange also stated that from October 11th at 10 am Pacific time, Coinbase Pro would allow ZRX deposits during the 12 hour waiting period so as to allow the exchange establish sufficient liquidity for the digital asset.
This launch on Coinbase, is the first ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network being listed on the exchange platform and like other listings before it, will be done in four stages: transfer-only, post-only, limit-only and full trading.
Despite this launch, the exchange team specifies that Coinbase.com users (including iOS or Andriod apps) and New York residents will not be able to trade the digital asset at this time though they promise to make a separate announcement once these options are ready; however the ZRX wallet is available on Coinbase.com for storing ZRX tokens.
Expectedly as always, the aftermath of Coinbase listing announcements always trigger a pump of the given coin; the ZRX token pumped up 12% above its initial price on the day and its highest point of 84.9 cents since mid-August.
Crypto enthusiasts especially Coinbase users further await the addition of four (4) other digital assets which the exchange had announced it was reviewing with ZRX in July; the tokens include BAT (Basic Attention Token), XLM (Stellar Lumens), ZEC (Zcash) and ADA (Cardano). Hence, it is expected that these tokens will follow suit.
Do you hold ZRX? Do you hold any of BAT, ZCash, XLM and Cardano?
NOTE: Difference between Coins and Tokens?
Even as both terms are used interchangeably and are classified under the heading of cryptocurrencies. However, Coin such as Bitcoin, Dogecoin refers to cryptocurrencies which run independently on their own platform or blockchain; Tokens refer to crypto projects which run on another platform or supported blockchain and are usually created via Initial Coin Offerings (ICO). ZRX token runs on Ethereum’s (ETH) blockchain.
